Contexto
Faced with recent regulations in the rental sector in large cities, Airbnb has decided to implement a new feature: bike rentals.
In this project, we have designed the implementation plan for this new function.

Rentals at accommodation: Airbnb works with partner establishments to offer guests access to a fleet of bicycles. Accommodations can join the programme, providing a sustainable and practical mobility option.
Alquiler en alojamientos: Airbnb colabora con establecimientos asociados para ofrecer a los huéspedes acceso a una flota de bicicletas. Los alojamientos pueden unirse al programa, facilitando una opción de movilidad sostenible y práctica.
Renting between individuals: Inspired by the Airbnb model, offer a direct bike rental service. Just as you can rent a home, you can rent bicycles from people near your location.
Alquiler entre particulares: Inspirados en el modelo de Airbnb, ofrecer un servicio de alquiler de bicis de manera directa. Así como puedes alquilar una vivienda, podrás alquilar bicicletas de personas cercanas a tu ubicación.

To assess the feasibility of both proposals, we conducted qualitative research through seven in-depth interviews with users of different ages. We analysed profiles that own a bicycle and profiles that do not, in order to better understand their needs and preferences.
Para evaluar la viabilidad de ambas propuestas, realizamos una investigación cualitativa mediante siete entrevistas en profundidad con usuarios de diferentes edades. Analizamos perfiles que poseen bicicleta propia y perfiles que no, con el objetivo de comprender mejor sus necesidades y preferencias.

Conclusions
Conclusiones
Users trust Airbnb, backed by their own experiences and third party recommendations.
They see bike rentals as an opportunity to enrich their trips but there is still mistrust in how the service is managed.
These concerns need to be addressed to create greater safety among users.
This is why we have decided to focus on the locker system approach, as private-to-private rental still presents challenges in terms of trust and logistics.
Keeping it as an option for the future will allow us to better assess its viability as the market and user needs evolve.
Los usuarios confían en Airbnb, respaldados por sus propias experiencias y recomendaciones de terceros.
Ven el alquiler de bicicletas como una oportunidad para enriquecer sus viajes pero aún existe desconfianza en cómo se gestiona el servicio.
Es necesario abordar las preocupaciones para generar mayor seguridad entre los usuarios.
Por eso, hemos decidido enfocarnos en la propuesta del sistema lockers, dado que el alquiler entre particulares aún presenta desafíos de confianza y logística.
Mantenerlo como una opción para el futuro permitirá evaluar mejor su viabilidad conforme evolucione el mercado y las necesidades de los usuarios.
